Thank you everyone for making a difference in students lives.

University students, and all students for that matter, who experienced lockdowns due to COVID-19 exhibited a high prevalence of mental health issues, according to results of a survey study published in JAMA Network Open.

We know students report uncertainty about academic options and what those options mean for their future, but more than half say that they do not know where to turn for mental health support. This lack of clarity is concerning since one in five students report that COVID-19 has significantly worsened their mental health.

The JED Foundation is the nation’s leading organization dedicated to young adult mental health. Our commitment to protecting the lives of young people is transforming the conversation around mental health and

mobilizing communities to action. Together we are helping students navigate the emotional challenges of college, prepare for adulthood, and thrive.

JED is a national nonprofit that exists to protect emotional health and prevent suicide for our nation’s teens and young adults. We’re partnering with high schools and colleges to strengthen their mental health, substance abuse and suicide prevention programs and systems. JED is equipping teens and young adults with the skills and knowledge to help themselves and each other. We’re encouraging community awareness, understanding and action for young adult mental health. Learn more at jedfoundation.orgCheck out our programs including: JED Campus, ULifeline, Half of Us, Love is Louder and Set to Go.
